On Wednesday 12th January Oxegen won Best Festival Line-Up at the prestigious European Festival Awards ceremony in Groningen, Holland.
The awards are voted for by fans across Europe, so we’re thrilled to win and want to thank everyone who voted and all our fans for helping make Oxegen 2010 such a success.
Each year, we ask fans who they most want to see play Oxegen, so the win is testament to their good taste! Oxegen 2010 featured Muse, Eminem, Arcade Fire, Jay-Z, Kasabian, The Black Eyed Peas, The Prodigy, Florence and The Machine and many more.
This new honour builds on Oxegen’s success in recent years as we also scooped Best European Festival at the UK Festival Awards in 2008 and 2009.
Our attention now turns to the summer and we want to make sure Oxegen 2011 is the best yet! Already confirmed for 2011 are Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Eyed Peas, blink-182 and Paolo Nutini.
Oxegen returns to Punchestown Racecourse, Co Kildare from Thursday 7th- Sunday 10th July 2011.
