Red Hot Chili Peppers New Album Almost Finished

Red Hot Chili Peppers New Album Almost Finished

With their new album now just two months away, Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea has started to tease fans by posting shots of the band adding the finishing touches in the studio.

The as yet untitled album is due for release in March this year and will be the Chili's first new release since 2006’s 'Stadium Arcadium'. Since then the band has changed slightly with guitarist John Frusciante leaving and being replaced by Josh Klinghoffer who is in one of the shots taken and posted by Flea.

Always full of energy and happy to give a quote or two Flea told NPRs "We love music, we're willing to put in the work and we're willing to put in the time."

The LA funk rockers sound has become more polished and mainstream throughout their career with Stadium Arcadium the most universally accessible they had released, although many still hold up 1999’s Californication as the career highlight. The band have been tight-lipped on the style of the new album, although it’s unlikely they will stray far from what has brought them global success over the years.

Details of a tour are yet to be announced; as soon as we hear the announcement of some UK shows, you’ll know about it on Stereoboard.com.
