The IndigO2 announces a hot melting pot of talent for an Easter Weekend to remember, with three special dates headlined by Audio Bullys, The Orb and Norman Jay, plus some very special guests.
From house club classics to electronic and the addition of ground breaking rare groove, the IndigO2 presents one of the most prestigious and all-encompassing nights in the dance music calendar.
Hosted at one of Londons premiere music venues, the party kicks off on Friday 22nd April with the Audio Bullys, who had a huge chart hit with their sample of Nancy Sinatras Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down). The duo went on to release three albums; Ego War, Generation and Higher Than The Eiffel and are confirmed to bring an electrifying DJ set to life in the Capital.
Dance music fans will also be thrilled to hear of the addition of The Orb, who will headline Saturday 23rd April. The duo have enjoyed incredible success on the dance music scene; their most renowned album U. F. Orb reached number one in the UK charts in 1992, with the single Blue Room becoming a classic club hit. This was followed by the unforgettableLittle Fluffy Clouds in 1993, which was a top ten hit and is still played in clubs to this day. Their tenth studio album Metallic Spheres also saw an exciting collaboration with Pink Floyd guitarist Dave Gilmour.
The weekend will finish with a set from the man who was awarded an MBE in 2002 for services to music and DJing internationally renowned Norman Jay. Normans deep musical knowledge reflects in his choice of mixes. He crosses a variety of genres and coined the term rare groove.
Having established himself through Kiss FM were he was one of the founding members alongside Gordon Mac and George Power, Norman Jay went on to join Gilles Peterson in establishing influential record label Talkin Loud. He presented Giant 45 on BBC Radio London for over 10 years, as well as guest presenting Funk Factory on BBC Radio 2. Norman continues to amaze crowds all over the world with his unique mixing style and musical fusion.
The support acts for the Easter Weekend are also world class. Friday evening sees A1 Bassline, who is highly championed for success by the likes of NME, Mix Mag and Dazed& Confused, as well as the mighty Hey Today!, Benji Boko plus DJsWez Clarke, Simon Speller and Darcy.
Saturdays music spectacular will be supported in the form of 808 State DJs and Lone, as well as DJs Phil Mison, Iain Baker and Darcy, while Sundays line up includes Jazzie B, who was awarded the first Inspiration Award at the Ivor Novellos as well as an OBE, and The Soul 2 Soul Sound System. Ashley Beadle will also take to the decks on Sunday, who is perhaps best know for his time X-Press 2 and their number two chart hit Lazy.
