Organisers of Kent festival Lounge On The Farm have announced that The Streets, Ellie Goulding and Echo& The Bunnymen will headline this years event. The festival, which is now in its sixth year, will take place on 8-10 July at Merton Farm in Canterbury. More acts are to be confirmed on 24th February.
Organisers of Lounge On The Farm, which first took place in 2006, have also announced that the event is to have its capacity doubled to 10,000. The festival has become known for its unique location on a real-life, working farm. It prides itself as a family-friendly event with a strong focus on locally-sourced food. Early bird tickets for Lounge On The Farm will be available on 17-23 February. Check back with Stereoboard.com for further announcements and tickets.
News of The Streets appearance at Lounge On The Farm follows the recent release of their fifth album Computers and Blues. Mike Skinner has previously announced that this will be his last album to be released as The Streets. Ellie Gouldings performance at the festival is likely to include some new material fromher forthcoming second album, the follow-up to her Number One debut Lights.
